Meadowbrook

Welcome to Meadowbrook Fives

Our Program

Our program is designed to meet the needs of the older preschool children who will benefit from one more year of preschool. This program will give the kids a chance to explore pre-math concepts and pre-reading concepts at stations in small groups with the guidance and support of the parents and the teacher.

The children will use the material in their own way allowing for different learning styles and leaving room for creative expression. They will learn as they play with friends, making learning joyful and fun. The creative arts are also a big part of our program. The children will be exposed to many kinds of art projects, story telling, and puppetry. It is through play that young children learn about the world around them. As they play, they learn a lot about how other people feel and think. They learn how to solve problems with their friends. These experiences help them grow socially and emotionally.

Our program strives to develop creative and independent thinkers, where kids are respected for their uniqueness. We encourage the children to explore new and different ways of doing things. This promotes self-esteem and confidence. Their accomplishments and ideas will be shared at group time, so the kids feel validated for their efforts to be creative.

We help the children become responsible and independent by providing them with opportunities to make choices. We also encourage the children to work together, teaching the children the value of cooperation and teamwork. We will work hard to create a feeling of community in our classroom.
