Victory Heights Co-op Preschool has two 3-5s classes. This morning (AM) class is for younger 3-5s and the PM class is the elder group.
Our AM 3-5s teacher, Marianne Marshall, has both elementary school and early-childhood developmental credentials with twenty-five years of experience. Marianne and her husband Don have lived in the neighborhood for twenty-eight years and have raised three children, two of whom went to Victory Heights preschool.
The AM 3-5 preschool program provides many opportunities for creative and imaginative play. The children engage in open-ended art projects, lots of pretend play, block construction, sensory table play, story-telling and dramatization, concrete investigation of science and math concepts, and various types of manipulative activities. We encourage the children to share ideas, thoughts, and concerns in small and large groups. This builds confidence, self-esteem, and group cohesiveness. We provide a safe place where kids can learn about their world through play, while building lasting friendships.
