Enrolling in NSC Co-ops

Q. Where are the NSC co-op preschools located?

A. NSC Preschools are held at 13 locations in North Seattle marked on the map here.

Q. How do I find out if a class has openings?

A. The Openings & Contacts page will tell you which schools have availability and how to contact them.

Q. When can I enroll?

A. Preschools primarily follow the Seattle Public School's calendar. They normally begin in the Fall and end in the Spring. If openings are available, parents and their children may enroll during the school year. Each coop makes their own decision about when to stop enrolling new students during the school year.

Q. How do I enroll in an on-campus class?

A. Registration in the Infant program (and other on-campus classes) is handled by the On-Campus Registrar.

If your child is currently enrolled in an NSC co-op program and you want them to continue in an NSC co-op next year:

Q. How do I enroll my currently enrolled Infant in a Toddler program?

A. As a currently enrolled Infant, your child is eligible for Priority Registration at all Toddler programs throughout the NSC co-op system. Contact the parent coordinator at the school you would like your child to attend and complete a registration application before the end of the Priority Registration deadline. Most programs require that you tour their site prior to completing your application. Some schools give priority space assignments to alumni (children with an older sibling who previously attended the program). You will be notified on the day after the Priority Registration deadline as to whether you have received a space assignment in the program or have been placed on a waiting list.

Q. How do I enroll my currently enrolled Toddler in a Pre-3s program?

A. As a currently enrolled Toddler, your child is eligible for Priority Registration at all Pre-3s programs throughout the NSC co-op system. Contact the parent coordinator at the school you would like your child to attend and complete a registration application before the end of the Priority Registration deadline. Most programs require that you tour their site prior to completing your application. Some schools give priority space assignments to alumni (children with an older sibling who previously attended the program). Most schools also give preference to toddlers currently enrolled in a class at their site. The parent coordinator at the school you are interested in attending can provide specific information regarding their Priority Registration rules. You will be notified on the day after the Priority Registration deadline as to whether you have received a space assignment in the program or have been placed on a waiting list.

Q. How do I enroll my currently enrolled Pre-3 into my co-op's on-site 3-5s program?

A. As a currently enrolled Pre-3 student, your child is eligible for Priority Registration at your co-op's on-site 3-5s program. Contact the parent coordinator for the 3-5s class to complete a registration application before the Priority Registration deadline. Most programs require that you tour their site prior to completing your application. Some schools give priority space assignments to alumni (children with an older sibling who previously attended the program). A. As a currently enrolled 3-5 student, your child is eligible for Priority Registration for the second year at your co-op's on-site 3-5s program. Contact your current 3-5s parent coordinator to complete a registration application before the Priority Registration deadline. You will be notified on the day after the Priority Registration deadline as to whether you have received a space assignment in the program or have been placed on a waiting list.

Q. How do I enroll my currently enrolled 3-5 A.M. (aka 3s program) student into the on-site 3-5s P.M. program (aka 4s program)?

A. As a currently enrolled 3-5 A.M. student, your child is eligible for Priority Registration in the on-site 3-5s P.M. program. Contact the parent coordinator for the on-site 3-5s P.M. class to complete a registration application before the Priority Registration deadline. Most programs require that you tour their site prior to completing your application. Some programs give priority space assignments to alumni (children who have an older sibling who previously attended the program). A. Registration in this 5s program is ongoing on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact the parent coordinator for the Meadowbrook 5s directly for information.

If you have an older child currently enrolled in an NSC co-op, or an older child who has been through the co-op system in previous years, and you would like a younger sibling to enter the co-op system for next year:

Q. How do I enroll my infant into an Infant program?

A. Registration in the Infant program is handled directly by the college. Please call 206-934-6029.

Q. How do I enroll my toddler into a Toddler program?

A. If the older sibling attended the same Toddler program, you may be eligible for alumni Priority Registration. Each co-op has its own bylaws on this matter. Contact the parent coordinator for the program to determine eligibility. Otherwise, you must attend Open Registration.

Q. How do I enroll my pre-3 into a Pre-3s program?
