Ingraham

About Our School

Teachers, parents and children agree... Ingraham Co-op is the place to be!

Ingraham Cooperative Preschool provides a fun and exciting environment for your child to blossom and grow. Our preschool hosts a safe and loving atmosphere with a developmentally appropriate curriculum and is shared by Pre 3's and 3-5's. Many of our enrolled students and their parents have returned from previous years. Ingraham Cooperative Preschool is located on the grounds of Ingraham High School in a bright and cheery portable; we have an outdoor playground with trikes, bikes, scooters, etc. and a climbing structure with an additional play portable for rainy days. We are conveniently located a short distance from I-5 in North Seattle.

What's special about our preschool?

Ingraham Cooperative Preschool has a thoughtfully planned environment divided into a number of creative learning stations. These stations are supervised by the parents who work as assistant teachers. Children are free to move about the preschool to explore and experiment with the materials and equipment as they wish. Small and large groups provide more structured learning experiences and circle time is the highlight of each day. Outside the classroom actives are enjoyed as well, for example; visiting a pumpkin farm, attending a Children's Theater production, and a visit from Seattle Fire Department Firefighters are enjoyed by all.

Our Teacher

Our preschool teacher, Diana Wagner-Boyd, has been teaching at Ingraham Cooperative Preschool for 11 years with a total of over 21 years working with children. After graduating from the Theater Dept. at Cornish College of the Arts, she went on to do Children's Theater. She also ran her own daycare, was a foster parent for 4 years, and had her own children in cooperative preschool. She designs the curriculum and helps manage the classroom activities. She is very tuned-in with each and every student and allows for class flexibility based on each student's interests and energies.
