Preschool meets from 9:00 - 11:30AM on Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday. Children must be 3 years old by August 31 of that year to participate.
Teacher Christine has been involved in co-op with her two
sons since 2008. Before that, she was a kindergarten and
first grade teacher for nine years, and has a Bachelorís and
a Masterís degree in Education. Teacher Christine loves
working with young children because they have an innate
desire to learn and explore. She believes her job as a
teacher is to recognize where the children are in their
development, use what she knows about how young children
learn, and provide appropriate materials and experiences
that boost the children further in their development. The
3-4s class is a place where your child will be safe to
explore, take risks, make mistakes, try again, and gain
The Wallingford 3-4s AM class provides a nurturing environment where the children have many opportunities to learn through playful exploration. The classroom environment includes a large block area, art area, dramatic play area, science and discovery area, library and gross motor area, sensory tables, drawing and writing table, and a variety of manipulatives and hands-on materials. Within the process of play, as well as large and small group activities, the children develop social and emotional skills, small and large motor skills, early literacy, math, social studies, and science foundations.
