Welcome to Wallingford 3 to 4s AM

Preschool meets from 9:00 - 11:30AM on Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday. Children must be 3 years old by August 31 of that year to participate.

Our Teacher - Christine Negron

Teacher Christine has been involved in co-op with her two sons since 2008. Before that, she was a kindergarten and first grade teacher for nine years, and has a Bachelorís and a Masterís degree in Education. Teacher Christine loves working with young children because they have an innate desire to learn and explore. She believes her job as a teacher is to recognize where the children are in their development, use what she knows about how young children learn, and provide appropriate materials and experiences that boost the children further in their development. The 3-4s class is a place where your child will be safe to explore, take risks, make mistakes, try again, and gain confidence.

The Wallingford 3-4s AM class provides a nurturing environment where the children have many opportunities to learn through playful exploration. The classroom environment includes a large block area, art area, dramatic play area, science and discovery area, library and gross motor area, sensory tables, drawing and writing table, and a variety of manipulatives and hands-on materials. Within the process of play, as well as large and small group activities, the children develop social and emotional skills, small and large motor skills, early literacy, math, social studies, and science foundations.
