Preschool meets from 12:45 - 3:45PM on Monday thru Thursday. Children must be 4 - 5 years old by August 31 of that year to participate.
Our preschool teacher, Carla Prosch, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Minnesota.
Carla has 14 years of experience teaching preschool in a variety of settings, including another cooperative preschool. We are very excited to have her as our new teacher.
Carla uses the emergent curriculum model, believing that children learn best through play and exposure to new concepts through an array of activities. She observes children carefully and incorporates their interests into the classroom.
Carla's main goal for children is to provide them with a nurturing, safe environment that helps to foster their self-esteem and confidence. She believes an ideal preschool environment is where children are treated with respect, encouraged to be risk-takers, can practice independence, and develop effective problem-solving skills.
