Welcome to the Toddler Class
Wedgwood Coop Toddler Class meets Friday mornings from
9:30-11:30. Our teacher of over 20 years offers a curriculum to
meet the needs of those curious explorers! Toddler class
provides a learning time for parents, as well, and the
instructor bases the adult curriculum on the needs of the
parents. So…

Our Teacher - Sandi Dexter
"I guess I knew when my own children started preschool this was
something I wanted to do. Over 20 years later, I still enjoy
being a preschool teacher!"
Sandi has led preschool classes at several schools, including
Sandhurst Coop, Phinney Coop, and Wedgwood Coop, where she has
taught for 23 years. Sandi's creativity and energy have made her
a sought-after teacher workshop presenter and mentor, as well as
a resource for parents. In her book, Joyful Play With Toddlers
(Parenting Press), Sandi shares with parents and teachers alike
some of her ideas for imaginative play.

9:30-10:05 Climbing Time & Clean Up
10:05-10:25 Music Circle
10:25-10:40 Snack & Clean Up
10:40-11:20 Activity Time/Parent Ed.*
11:20-11:30 Goodbye Circle
*Half of parents assist in classroom, half attend Parent
Education
Time Commitments
- Toddler Parents attend class with their children and
act as assistant teachers
- Each parent has a job outside the classroom (For
example: class librarian, equipment and repair, class
photographer, substitute teacher)
- One weekend cleaning of the school per year(takes
approximately 3 hours)
- Monthly evening parent meeting includes class business
and parent education
General Toddler Class Information
· Meet: Friday 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
· Age: 12 months by August 31
· Cost 2005-06: Tuition $40/month + North Seattle
Community College Tuition $33/quarter
